If you thought the quantity of junk e-mail you received was impressive, spare a thought for your ISPs servers: over 80 percent of what they see is pure spam.

    I think I get about 11.5% of that total, so that leaves less for the rest of the world.... :)

      I agree with crawford. The effort some people must go to to get around my provider server filters makes you wonder, do these spammers ever get anything for their efforts of what they send?

      The problem is that I have to go through the daily list to make sure I don't delete a legitimate mail. Probably only about 1/2 of 1% are legitimate, but those I do want to come to my computer.

          I guess that about 75% of my snail mail is spam. For e mail, it's probably over 90%. Major types are Nigerian scams, Canadian pharmacies, other phishing, and electronic newspaper ads. The one category that has gone down over the past year is ads for cosmetic surgery.
