Gadgets & Tech – On Feb. 18th, Mininova, the other uber-torrent site behind The Pirate Bay, announced its 4 billionth download: that's billion with a B. To be clear, however, Mininova isn't counting the number of files successfully completed by a peer, but rather the number of torrent files downloaded.

Until today, Feb 25, I never heard of The Pirate Bay, Mininova, or torrent, so....they don't mean anything to me.
As for file-sharing, I got rid of my KAZAA over 3 years ago because of the RIAA lawsuits. Now I've got maybe 35-40 songs and video on LIMEWIRE, for my own personal, in-home pleasure. I will not burn them to disk, and I refuse to buy an MP3 player. I have maybe 25 music CD's, which I have bought from the performing bands on them. My 33, 45, 78 RPM records and cassette tapes have enough music to last me a lifetime. I don't have to have the "latest" tech stuff. It's a waste.
Good luck to the RIAA, but I wish more singers and groups would put out singles again, like they did in the 1950's and 60's. Most of the album stuff sucks.
