Honest (Crazy?) Retailer to Allow HD-DVD Owners to Swap for Blu-ray Players »
Posted by: TechnologyExpert 6 months, 1 week agoNow this is a classy move. Japanese electronics retailer Edion has instituted a swap program for customers who purchased HD-DVD players. The offer: to replace the used units with new Blu-ray players. Customers who bought any of seven Toshiba HD-DVD decks can exchange them for a Blu-ray player from Sony, Panasonic or Sharp.

Its a great move by Edion. Too bad it is only going to happen in Japan. Here owners of the earlier Blu-Ray player can't even upgrade to model of Blue-Ray players with the new standards.
