When Linux is placed on the PS3 the video is dumbed down and many video features are not able to be accessed. The great thing about this is it lets a person harness the power of the unit for normal processing of data. When two or more of them are clustered together the power increases dramatically. Some scientists bought eight and clustered them to create an extremely powerful computer with cheap hardware. $3200 for an almost supercomputer.
