Can Microsoft Get XP on the OLPC's XO-1?

Gadgets & Tech – I actually wrote about this over a month ago, in late October, but now some others are picking up on it. Microsoft is hard at work getting Windows XP on the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) Foundation's XO-1 laptop. It's not a question of if Microsoft wants to do it, but rather, can it do it?

Hope Micro$oft can't get it to work .

What is wrong with Linux on a PC , the concept was made for Linux not Micro$oft=(dig into your pockets and pay more) .

Ford and Micro$oft teamed up , "Hello my car will not stat , says a invalid .dll file , error code 0023" , Tech "Sorry we don't know what that code means , have a nice day" .

Give them laptops with Linux preinstalled. Works better, has less problems, much safer on line, doesn't require payment and will give the kids a great foundation for more robust operating systems.

Absolutely! Linux is by far a better OS.

Apart from that, making the Open Source philosophy and tools available to everyone would foster a tremendous influx of new ideas and products. It would also represent an incredible opportunity that simply would not be available if Microsoft were allowed to pollute the project.
