1,000,000 Strong For Stephen T Colbert was created on Wednesday Oct 17th at 5PM and quickly overtook Obama's "1,000,00 Strong" in less than 5 days. Currently at 441,000 members the group will pass the Hilary group later this afternoon.

  absolutely- I don't think colbert will ever be able to get on the ballots of all 50 states, but if he could- he might just be a contender.

  Tonks, your comment is scary, but unfortunately all too common, especially among younger voters.
  I think it goes without saying that had Gore been elected in 2000 (some would suggest he actually was), then we likely would not be four years deep into a quagmire in Iraq. That alone should be reason to vote in every election, including the local ones.
  I'm gonna make three predictions here:
  1) Stephen, the ultimate realist that he is, will eventually decide not to follow through with hsi campaign, although he's claimed all he wants is to win one electoral vote, in order to trade it for a speech at the National Convention -- of EITHER party.
  2) He will decide not to endorse any politician running, but he will:

  btw.... I hope the current batch of prez wannabes get the hint that they really suck so badly that over a million people in jsut over 8 days would prefer a funny guy who tells it like it is. And he's not even running!!!
  Enough of the deceitful, self-serving Armageddon politics. The whole world just wants to get real and lighten up, then maybe we'll get some peace and quiet around here for a change.
