Adding logitech camera and software has crashed two different computers on me. One in windowsXP the other VistaHome premium.
:( The alert tells me it's a flash drive issue, so I updated that program with a free download. Hope it works.

OK. I implemented the suggestion re: shifting processes from auto to manual. It has freed up some memory and cut about ten processes from 'start up'.
My main concern right now is the cpu is a little unstable (I think). It bounces from 5% to 40% usage. I'm not running complicated programs right now, so.....
At any rate, the article has been useful and I'm going to try some of the other suggestions.
