        Lets hope it does happen, and that the FCC "gives-grants" some of theses frequencies to any provider that promises (read required-regulated) inexpensive access to all. That way helping keep the cost down as opposed to having to pay billions to the FCC and incorporate that cost into our cost. My Cavtel ADSL now gives me about 4mb down at about $25 a month. Not as fast a Comcast but much cheaper. We can dream anyway.

          I thought there were already alternates for High-Speed internet. There is DSL, Cable, and Satellite.

            stay away from satellite.

            DSL & Cable is fine & cheap.
