Apple announces 3rd parties can write Web 2.0 apps for iPhone

Gadgets & Tech – From the blog post: "Along with all the Mac OS X-related announcements at WWDC today, Apple also announced a solution, of sorts, to the 3rd party apps conundrum surrounding the iPhone. Both on stage during today's WWDC keynote and in a press release issued this afternoon, it was revealed that the iPhone will allow 3rd party apps..."

Really? My Nintendo DS (the handheld with the touchscreen) has held up excellently for I think about 2 years now.

While using Safari for the Application interface, any one can use an App designed for the iPhone. But this is not without a few draw backs as well, all of the extra features of the phone cannot be utilized. An example would be a game not being able to use the included vibrate function for force feedback.

CALL us 'Naive' but everything within us detects a flaw in the logic. We expect at some point the North American cell phone/internet communications will undergo an attack. Pershaps not the year 2007 but in these years to follow.

The PDA phones have been about along while now all with touchscreen tech. and each new one has improved sencitivity. I got no doubts that the iphone will let us down. Ive hear that there will be 5 colours aswell. Exciting stuff
