Google has announced that it is going to buy Panoramio for an undisclosed amount to add it to its Google Geo product mix (Google Earth and Google Maps). It is promised to be a win-win situation for both parties. Google makes its online presence more visible every day and this acquisition is another indication of this.

    Should be a great fit with Google Maps and Earth. It'll be great if its being a Google property gets it more photos.

      I also feel Panoramio will be a great addition to Google's family. Besides, Google really knows how to bring users and build a community within a web service. So I think when Google brings more people to Panoramio they will have many new people and thus many new photos from different places from around the world. So I believe this acquisition will be a win-win situation to both companies.

        There are some awesome pictures on the Panoramio website.. I think this is a really good buy for Google.
