
Gadgets & Tech – To eliminate overlap in services, Yahoo will close its Yahoo Photos service in favor of photo sharing darling Flickr, acquired by Yahoo a little over two years ago and considered by many a pioneer of the Web 2.0 wave of Internet innovation.
I almost died when I was a baby. My grandmother said it was because everyone took too many pictures of me and stole my soul. Since then, I've had a really spotty relationship with photos. I don't have so many of myself, and I don't really own a decent camera. I think I'll have to buy a new camera before I can have a Flickr account!

I just updated my Flickr account for the first time in a year or more. (My little Fuji Finepix has been lonely and unused). So I had to associate a Yahoo ID with my old Flickr ID...
It makes sense though for Yahoo to ditch Photos in favor of Flickr, which is both a web and media darling.
