Slashdot at its best! The premise: Senator Ted Stevens used the phrase 'series of tubes' to describe his understanding of the Internet, this got ridiculed, everywhere, well everywhere in the internet (also on TDS). But it's not quite so easy to come up with a succinct layman's definition of the internet. Can we do better here?
