Analyst says Time may sell AOL
Gadgets & Tech – Time Warner Inc., the world's largest media company, may sell AOL in the next 18 months because of a "challenging" profit outlook at the Internet unit, said Bear Stearns & Co. analyst Spencer Wang.
"Time Warner may decide to sell AOL, offer a minority stake to the public, as it did with the Time Warner Cable Inc. division, or combine AOL with a partner such as Google Inc., Yahoo Inc. or Microsoft Corp., Wang wrote."
