Netscape continues to be a real hoot.
First they took a site with seventy million regular users and ran everyone off--because they "understood what the people really wanted." They turned it into a haven for the socially and intellectually immature. Now, nine months later, they have a site with 180,000 members (about 0.25% of those they drove away), and they announce "Open ID." With all AOL users having direct access to the New Netscape, they no longer have to tell potential advertisers that their real reach is only about 2,000 active users--instead they can claim direct access is available to "XXX millions."
This is not even a good con game.

Wordpress stated that they are providing openids for their members. So now you can login using your wordpress hosted blog url as well.
