Good! This cheating has to stop. They are stealing intellectual material and it should be stopped.

I do not think people should steal copyrighted materials but what are they doing to prosecute people in other countries.
The music industry is taking the easy road here. Just because they are losing money in cd sales does not mean they deserve these kind of awards.
They should send warning letters first and maybe charge $1000. Can they really prove who was downloading?
China downloads everything for free even software.

Just how much of the settlements these lawyers get, actually goes toward residuals for musicians? This seems more like the cigarette law suits which only made lawyers rich, rather than an equitable, moral issue. Considering that an individual can purchase the same song for .99 cents anywhere, this 750 dollar per song judgement seems grossly unfair. I see no right in what the RIAA is doing.
