  The headline is smart enough to avoid a question like "which is the best Linux distro?"

  There is no best Linux distribution. People are different. They do different things. They have different technical backgrounds. To each person, there's a suitable distro and here's a good test/question-based chooser:

    Yeah, this is a great way to approach it: the best distro (whether it's Linux, Windows, or Mac OS) is the one that _works_for_you_.

      I'm sad they didn't include any of the BSD's in there, I am platform agnostic but various flavors of BSD as a desktop work well for me.

  I have no idea why anyone voted on this, except that you like the headline.

  But the article does not deliver what the headline promises (schestowitz's link, though, does).

    When I first saw it (the day before it got submistted), I thought the real content was in the forums which it points to. But you make a valid argument. I too have the tendency to link to short articles ever now and then. Maybe our comments/discussions will be more fruitful and useful than the cited article. It surely works for Slashdot.
