I would love to know when that clip was made. I loved that shot of all the phones on the wall of the ISP.

Couldn't have been 1993 because Windows XP is visible on a monitor in the back. Look closely.

not sure that's XP, if your talking about the desktop, you could use pictures and screen savers even back in windows 3.1, and it been a long time since I've see chat come up letter by letter as you type. Also they didn't seem to be using any browser, that puts it way before XP.

The operating system that allowed the internet to become what it is today was UNIX, not Windows. The internet couldn't have grown nearly so quickly if it had to be constantly restarted, like early versions of Windows. I began building and selling computers in the mid '80's, when Windows came on three low-density floppy disks.

WOW, I can still remember when we had to use BBS's. That is pretty much how it looked. I was using an Apple IIe plus. Many ppl were using TRS80's, commodor 64's and such.

It's a nice documentary, but totally false. The internet is actually a series of tubes...

Things change so quickly. It's hard to believe that was little more than a decade ago. And I remember the first time I ever saw a television or a flush toilet. Wow.

Lol...you conspiracy nuts. It's obvious that this internets rumour is just that. a rumour. it Doesn't really exist. how ridiculous. they want us all to believe that we can communicate with eachother and find a wealth of information using a typewriter, television and box of fandangled gizmo's.!

                some people will believe anything.
