Jan. 4, 2007, 11:05 a.m.I totally agree with number Two. Netscape is no Libscape. If it was, then people like LuvmyDork, GrinchfeldGirl and Maskedprotester would not have gotten the opportunity to post their boisterous episodes of relentless ranting with prevaricated version of the real truth on these BLOGS. Unlike our office network, where we have the privilege to Zap goobers like those in a flash :D :D. In support of Number One: People that refer to liberals as Lib Nazis, need to invest some dollars on Mirrors and educating themselves with some real College Degree and such. My experience has been majority of those people are mostly uneducated pathetic losers that have a very narrow vision of prospective in life and the world around them. Finally, I have been using Netscape since '95. Even supported it when I worked for U.S.West.net -- Love Using it, even loved supporting it. The best browser ever with the most userfriendly Interface. Long live Netscape ! :) :)

Jan. 4, 2007, noonSo is C.K. a referee or a team player? It seems he is playing for the Bush team. So much for impartiality on Netscape's board of dictators. He must think he is so much smarter than everybody else. Anyone who is trying to keep open and frank discussion alive on their site should try not to be so high-handed. That makes you the fool, C.K.
Your corporate masters have sure tightened your leash. Good luck with your little AOL owned site.

Jan. 4, 2007, 1:21 p.m.Not only that CK seems to add the OP-Ed Headline only to stories that are inherently true against this current administration. Example: The story that luvmypres submitted on this page: "The 20 Most Annoying Liberals In The United States" ...talk about an OP-ED story!!! But no label. lol

Jan. 3, 2007, 3:45 p.m.Without question, David, personal and totally partisan attacks on both sides are wrong. The use of phases like 'Cons' or 'Libs' should never be used if one wants to conduct honest and civil debate.

Jan. 3, 2007, 2:28 p.m.CK will have to prove # 2 to me. I could write a research paper on the "liberalness" of Netscape and of some of the posts made by CK. It's OK to admit your politics, just don't mischaracterize them.

Jan. 4, 2007, 12:03 p.m.CK's little temper tantrum shows to me that he is anything but liberal.

Jan. 3, 2007, 3:51 p.m.I also posted this comment on CK's site( in one piece):
Part 1
I wholeheartedly agree with 1,2 and 5. As for 3 and 4. That is what freedom of speech is about. You disagree with what they think and you have that right. They disagree with you and have that right. You can't be a very good moderator/leader ( read: good example) if personal bias enters into it. I said a lot of things( to people, not on the internet) before Baby Bush was elected and was called a "loony" or got raised eyebrows for even thinking it much less saying so. Funny thing is I was right about 95% of it..... I also had heated arguments with friends about certain things only to be proved wrong later. It may be considered wild speculation today but because of the discussion key facts that never would have been discovered( or made widely known to the public) come out... I am not saying I agree with every crazy story out there but at least they ARE out there to make you think about and agree or disagree with.

Jan. 3, 2007, 3:51 p.m.Part 2
You may be anti-conspiracy theory but not everyone is. And the discussion is what keeps our minds open for when the real conspiracies do come. Conspiracies have occured in the past and will occur in the future ( not necessarily as often as some believe and not necessarily in any one political or geographic spectrum) but shutting them out just because you don't agree won't make them go away... let them rant and they will be proved or disproved by fact and history not personal opinion.

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:30 p.m.I did notice that under who sunk this story is C.K. so this comment is no longer true or the sunk list is incorrect.... oops, my bad, C.K. wrote it but neophile posted it.

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:10 p.m."9-11 was not a government conspiracy. The so-called "Truth" movement is the biggest pack of lies that I've ever seen. If you believe in it, then you are a complete and utter fool. Please stop spamming the entire internet with your conspiracy theories."
;';'
;';'
What!!!!
So you are going to censor any info on 911 or just that you consider a Theory????????

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:26 p.m.That was his personal blog, not the Netscape blog. He is allowed to voice his opinions just the same as the rest of us. Cut the man some slack.

March 4, 2007, 9:57 p.m.To make the claim that government officials were not conspirators of the 9/11 attacks, you must assume that the U.S. government was either incompetent or horrifically dumb. Certainly any competent government would not have allowed 9/11 to occur as a "complete surprise." Although the president's address to the nation justified the attacks by stating that they, the terrorists, hate us, it did not provide an explicit explanation for why the attacks really occurred. There were several failures with the FAA, the CIA, and the FBI in attempting to halt the planes involved in 9/11 attacks. In essence, the clues, evidence, and personal accounts that contradict the official report, The 9/11 Commission Report, indicates that there is a problem with the report and the U.S. government's loyalty to the country. The plot to construct a "New Pearl Harbor" by using a devastating event to promote citizens to rage for war went into effect on 9/11. 9/11 was a government conspiracy.

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:25 p.m.Mamasan - While I think the ct'ers are wallowing in a pitiful fabrication, I think CK is wrong to try to filter your beliefs. One problem I have with all of the 911 stories is that they are obviously voted up by puppets. Can you affect any change regarding this behavior?

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:19 p.m.I also like how you can insult the 70 xome souls who voted on the last 911 story!!!
What you are saying is if we do not confrom to your version of reality we are "utter fools"....
nay sir I would call you the fool to even put such rants in public.

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:33 p.m.I don't see how the terms "lib" or "con" are derogatory. They're convenient abbreviations for "liberal" and "conservative", neither of which is inherently offensive, despite their sterotypical implications (similar to Republican/Democrat or left/right). "Lib" & "con" are handy in the context of Netscape commentary--they can be typed quickly and don't waste precious characters.
As for conspiracies, who is to say what is a conspiracy and what isn't? Conspiracies are only theoretical unless/until they are proven true. For example, tobacco companies resisted the "theory" that cigarette smoking causes lung cancer until they were forced by mounting evidence to admit they'd conspired to withhold data indicating smoking's hazards. Should tobacco "conspiracy theorists" have stayed silent?

Jan. 3, 2007, 4:52 p.m.GM Jason Calacanis with his staff which included CK 'Jason Junior' Created the New Netscape.. It turned out to be a Big One-sided, Misleading, Bias Flop, A Big White Elephant.. Now then, Jason Calacanis was either FIRED or Left Netscape (good move for him) right after the new install... CK, Fabaian, Karina, etc. seems to be following in the same path. Dan 'The Liar' Rather did the same thing to CBS for many years until the internet was created and they were exposed. CBS went down hill and Dan Got Kicked out. By the usual negative response for their articles and Opinions it looks like few Netscape users take any thing CK and his staff comment on Seriously.
They really destroyed a pretty good system, What a SHAME?
Sincerely,

Jan. 5, 2007, 1:43 a.m.C.K., Dan Rather and A Big White Elephant all in ONE paragraph, gotta hand it to Hobe.
Hey Hobe, wassaap? Why no reference to "garbage" and no asking C.K. if he's "proud"?
Tired of spamming that same comment over and over again?

Jan. 3, 2007, 5:19 p.m.It may come as a surprise to some of us, but the only liberal and conservatives that you need to address are the ones that you think are on this thread. Everyone else is a delusion of our past experiences, more commonly known as our prejudices. Sometimes we have the rare opportunity of meeting someone who we could actually hate. It's one of the extra benefits of Netscape.

Jan. 3, 2007, 6:19 p.m.I was going to say that you're paying way too much attention to the sink feature and Neo's - uh, liberal - use of it. But if your comment just contained what you say it did and was deleted, it means that claims Nutscape has of being an open forum is a fraud. Staff using their authority to delete content that way is censorship. No two ways about it

Jan. 3, 2007, 5:57 p.m.Since the term "Libscape" is verboten to the powers that be, I'll refer to this place henceforth as "Nutscape."
There! It feels so good to be politically correct ;-)
