BloggerTalks Interview - Inisghts from an elite social bookmarker »
Posted by: Ousama 1 year, 11 months agoWith the rise of social bookmarking sites such as Digg, Reddit and Netscape, we wanted to sit down with someone who lived in both worlds to give us an opinion on their relationship with blogging. Nov. 14, 2006, 11:44 a.m.Nice interview, ousama. I was a little put off by the emphasis on the fact that 'scapers are older until I got to: "this leads to a more mature and focused discussions." Have to agree totally; some of the less volatile channels have some very thoughtful discussions. And the "emphasis" is actually just hyperlinking back to your survey results.
I appreciate your comparisons between Digg and Netscape; now I don't need to check out Digg. As far as their "Mark as Lame" button is concerned, can we skip that feature on Netscape.

Nov. 14, 2006, 1:34 p.m.That was a great read. It's so true about Digg, and it's craziness. I liked the part about Digg having less mature voters that vote and don't even check out the article. Also, how they have a "mark as lame" button really shows what kind of people they're targeting.
I agree wholeheartedly with this article.

Nov. 14, 2006, 11:55 p.m.Very interesting topic for an interview, Interestingly enough, I got my job at Netscape because I submitted my own content to reddit. From what I know there was only one or two occasions where somebody at reddit accused me of being a spammer, but generally I got lots of support from that community.

Nov. 15, 2006, 10:40 a.m.Great interview, Muhammad. Sorry I tried to give the credit to someone else. The only question I have is: where do you find time to do everything?
