Great story! The storm chasers I know are climatology students who work in pairs-one drives and one shoots video. They know that if they do something stupid, their advisor will kill them if the storm doesn't.

Reminds me of a Helen Hunt movie. Interesting to know that there really are people like that in the real world. Well written article, and I enjoyed reading it. Coming originally from Kansas, this was like old home week for me.
