Microsoft is linking up with video search engine Blinkx in an attempt to SQUASH THE GOOGLE-YOUTUBE THREAT. As a video search engine Microsoft won't host videos so can't get sued... unlike YouTube.     The idea that a company that isn't turning a profit could threaten a company that is in any way is kind of humourous.

    Don't forget, MS has their own YouTube-esque video sharing site in beta right now: http://soapbox.msn.com/

    If they were to integrate that directly into windows media player, windows media center edition, xbox live, windows enabled mobile devices and zune then they would pwn the video market share.
