Sept. 17, 2006, 12:39 p.m.Yeah, I'm already seeing more older members on Netscape. Maybe that will change once we have a few hundred votes in (assuming we get even that many) :)
Here's a direct link to the results:

Sept. 17, 2006, 12:50 p.m.While this is an interesting question, I wonder about the outcome. For example, the top two age groups in the list (

Sept. 17, 2006, 12:53 p.m.The first two age groups, "under 9" and the next one, have NO votes, yet they are each listed as 10 percent. Something is wrong.

Sept. 17, 2006, 2 p.m.General Patton is in the 15-18 category? that would explain his posts, on the other hand he might be pulling our legs regarding his age group.

Sept. 17, 2006, 3:17 p.m.Today, I turn 21... but yeah, I've been an avid Netscape contributor since Beta. :)

Dygital
Sept. 17, 2006, 3:21 p.m.It seems like Netscape has a good niche here, with a majority of *active* users 55 . Digg seems to target 17-25; and Netscape can certainly target a wider range audience.
See, it's possible that Digg and Netscape CAN co-exist. :)

Sept. 17, 2006, 3:25 p.m.I am grateful to know that I am not in the 55 or older group, yet. It is interesting information to see what the age range is on here. Thanks for the information.

Sept. 17, 2006, 4:06 p.m.@Dygital, that is one of the things we can hope to deduce from this. If there are two different target audiences, well, problem solved. Kevin can enjoy his millions without feeling insecure.

Sept. 17, 2006, 4:52 p.m.@luvmyprez, yes EdRobertsII isn't on this thread anymore because he was hard-banned for spewing hate. My comment now seems irrelevant. Just be glad you weren't there to read it :)
Keep rockin'.

Sept. 17, 2006, 5:10 p.m.WOW! I did not know that over 25% are over 55!
I would have though a much lower number.
Some of the best advise I have ever heard was given to me when I was about 6, by a neighbor who was over 70. In over 50 years, it is still some of the best advice I have heard.
Let me encourage those over 50 to participate and share what you have learned with the rest of us.

Sept. 17, 2006, 5:14 p.m.Although you seem to have a lot of people over 55 who act like children, I'm not sure that Jason is attracting the younger, trendier crowd he wants to build his fortune on.
Maybe you need to cut off the news and just link to cartoons and videos from now on.
