Today was the first time I ever heard of Digg.com. First, from the Washingtonpost.com Tech section and secondly here on the Netscape site. Personally like this change for Netscape. Iâ€™m been using the email services for over ten years but now I feel I have a reason for checking out the site other than checking on my email and MyNetscape.com.

Digg rules... Netscape is just a poor rip off of a great site. You will never be digg give it up.
P.S. What are your plans in the future for site improvments???

Moger76 -- first on our list is to code a filter for "Digg rules" on the comment sections to prevent all the trolls from visting the site all day.

Well I appreciate that there is an alternative to Digg. Most of the 'regular' posters on Digg are idiots (some arn't) and its a very incestuous environment.
That being said, the netscape site should have a different layout/interface. Copying Digg directly kind of shows that you think they are superior.

I have to agree with you bitbytebit. I'm sick of the comments that show up on digg. Every single story ends up with a bunch of off topic comments about some stupid argument.

I just found out about digg a few days ago as well. I have been using netscape for some time now but never "signed up". Now I am in netscape and personally think the experience is great. Digg will quickly fall in ratings and I beleive we will see Kevin resort to # of visits over number of posts followed quickly by a sale of digg to yahoo. I beleive this will happen inside 12 months. Kevin should sell now, if he waits he will loose millions.
