MySpace Knocked Offline by Power Outage »

MySpace is offline most of Sunday night, save for a message blaming the downtime on a power outage. The Internet tilts on its side as distraught users flock to LiveJournal to post blog items saying "OMG, MySpace is down!"

    Why don't they have servers in more than one location? It appears they don't.

            Looks like they're back online as of Monday morning. Yes, it does seem peculiar that they wouldn't have backup servers in another location. You would think that with all the money they probably they make from the annoying advertising they have on their pages, that they would shell out some cash to get some alternative servers. It looks like someone's just sitting back and raking in the dough.

              oh thank god it is back up again. I can not stop the addiction. I do not understand why it is an addiction, but it is. Soon there will be a group to help people cope with this problem. LOL

                        As funny as saying "the world is over OMG" it is also sad to think that maybe eventually internet intagration will be that severe.

                                      What's up with links on Netscape anyway? I post a link to a Netscape story and they redirect it to a different story. So I removed the http:// and they truncate the text of the link. Is this a bug? Or is Netscape being sneaky, playing games with comments to promote the stories they want? Won't take much of that to lose what's left of their users.
